Nourish Counseling & Coaching

Launch (Young Adults 15-25)

“Adolescence can be a time of turmoil and turbulence, of stress and storm. Rebellion against authority and against convention is to be expected and tolerated for the sake of learning and growth.” - Haim Ginott

adolescent Counseling

The teenage years are a time when a lot of physical and emotional changes take place. Teens may feel confused or insecure about themselves and how they fit into the world. Teens crave autonomy while also still needing a support system. This can be a challenging balance to achieve in our modern world of parenting. As a counselor, I provide a safe space where adolescents can be themselves and work through their challenges while gaining the confidence and self-awareness needed to thrive.

Education Consulting

Using a holistic approach to college advising, I view clients as a whole person rather than a statistic in the ever-changing admissions process. I educate my clients and their families about admission while presenting academic options that align with their social, intellectual, geographic, and financial goals.

  • Inform parents and students about the college admission process, financial aid, and awards.

  • Guidance and instruction in preparing essays, applications, interviews, and visiting schools

  • Provide personality and career assessments to increase self-awareness and explore careers and majors of interest.

  • Analyzing student's educational background, including GPA, testing, and extracurricular activities

  • Researching colleges of interest and developing a realistic list of schools tailored to the student's unique abilities, talents, interests, and needs

  • Referrals for tutoring or testing services when needed

Tool Box | Resources

Growth should continue to take place in between counseling and coaching sessions. To encourage this, I assign homework that includes anything from self-reflection, exploring nature, or working with a wellness partner on fitness and dietary health. As a counselor, I have built a toolbox of resources and connections with wellness providers to facilitate support and change in my clients. Here is a list of some of my favorite tools:

  • Enneagram

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Wellness Wheel

  • Wellness Mapping

  • Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
